Webshops where customers check out instead of dropping out

A webshop is more than a product overview and a buy button. Search, filters, stock, payment, shipping and the emails afterwards: at each of those points a customer can abandon their order. Custom-built in WooCommerce, so every step works.

Built to sell

What I build

A good webshop makes buying easy. Products are quick to find, pages load instantly and the checkout asks only for what is needed. Every step a customer no longer has to take brings in orders.

WooCommerce is the webshop of WordPress. Shop and website sit in one system, and customer and order data stay under your own control. Where the way you sell calls for something extra, I develop it: prices per customer group, an ordering process for business customers, or orders that automatically reach the right supplier.

Even when it gets busy

A promotion, a newsletter or a mention in the media, and suddenly your shop has ten times the visitors. That is the moment it has to keep working. I take that into account during development, with caching, hosting that matches the load and a checkout that stays light.

Updates to WooCommerce, payment methods and integrations go to a test environment first and only then go live. That keeps the shop stable, even years later.

Integrating with your payment, shipping and accounting systems

What can be integrated

Your webshop can be integrated with the systems around it. Payments through Mollie, Stripe or Buckaroo. Shipping through MyParcel, Sendcloud or PostNL. Invoices that appear in Moneybird or Exact Online automatically. Stock and orders from your ERP, such as AFAS or Exact. And business customers who order from their own procurement system, through OCI.

Your system not listed?

Chances are it can still be done. Almost any system with an API can be integrated, and where there is no API, an export or import often does the job. I find out up front what the system can do, so you know what is possible and what it costs before development starts.

When to bring me in

For a new webshop, an existing one, and for agencies.

You want a new webshop

Everything from design to maintenance taken care of, whether you already sell or are about to start. Built around your product range and the way you work, with payment, shipping and management included.

Your existing shop could do better

More orders from the same visitors, a faster checkout or an integration that takes work off your hands. I find out where the gains are and make a proposal. Read more about this under optimisation.

You are an agency with a WooCommerce client

For requirements that go beyond the standard, such as an OCI integration or prices per customer group. That one component, or the whole shop.

What you get

What comes with every webshop.

  • A short checkout
As few steps as possible between basket and payment.
  • Integrations with clear agreements
For each integration it is set out which system leads and what happens when an error occurs.
  • Fast
Core Web Vitals in the green at launch, on mobile too.
  • Accessible
Developed with WCAG 2.2 as the guideline. For webshops, accessibility has been regulated by law since June 2025.
  • One point of contact
The person you talk to is the person who builds it. From the first conversation through to maintenance.
  • Honest advice
I think along with you and say so when something can be simpler, better or cheaper.
  • A long-term partnership
Most clients stay for years. I know their shop and their organisation, and that makes every next addition better.
  • Easy to hand over
Code in Git, documented. Fellow freelancers step in during illness or holidays.

How it works

From the first conversation to a partnership that lasts for years.

Explore

We call or meet. How you sell now, and what you want to achieve.

Define

I work out what will be developed, which integrations it needs and what it costs. In this phase the design comes from one of my regular designers or from your own designer.

Build

I develop in stages. You follow along on a test environment and place test orders. Once you approve, the shop goes live.

Maintain and develop

I keep the shop technically up to date, and it grows with your product range and your organisation.

Pricing and maintenance

What it costs

Projects of any size are welcome, from a single integration to a complete webshop. The price depends on the product range, the number of integrations and what is needed for business customers. You get a fixed price as soon as it is clear what needs to be done. Smaller work is charged by the hour.

Maintenance and ongoing development

These are two different things. A webshop needs continuous maintenance: updates to WooCommerce, payment methods and integrations, under a maintenance contract with a fixed schedule. Ongoing development is the partnership after that. The shop grows with your product range and your organisation, with new features at the moment you need them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I manage products, prices and orders myself?

Yes. You do that in the WooCommerce admin, which I set up around your product range and the way you work. Anything that repeats, such as stock or invoices, can run automatically through an integration.

I already have a WooCommerce shop. Can you improve it?

Yes. I look at the code and the plugins first, then show you where the biggest gains are: in the checkout, the speed or an integration that takes work off your hands.

Is WooCommerce suitable for business customers?

Yes. Prices per customer group, ordering on account and ordering from a procurement system through OCI can all be developed.

Which systems can you integrate the shop with?

Payment providers, shipping services, accounting, inventory systems and procurement systems. If a system has an API, it can almost always be integrated.

What happens to my customers’ data?

It stays yours and lives in your own WooCommerce environment. During development I use AI to write code. Customer and order data never go into it.
